Welcome to Race Track Chaplaincy of America Northern California!
Rob Cochran has done a wonderful job of keeping the various projects and services moving forward. Rob's formal title is ASSISTANT CHAPLAIN but the vast majority of responsibilities are on him at present. He oversees the food and clothing giveaways and is the point person for emergencies that arise.
Race tracks are a community and a culture. It is a love of horses that brings everyone together on a track. Our local Chaplaincy is part of a larger national organization. Here is a video that will offer some insight into the organization and its value to the racing community:

HORSE RACING MOVES TO PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA
There are major changes in the racing industry in Northern California. Golden Gate Fields has closed and the new location for the racing industry is the Alameda County Fairgrounds located in Pleasanton California. This has been a difficult and challenging transition for all concerned. Now more than ever before the racing community needs support. The Racetrack Chaplaincy of America is there to support and assist the community during this time.
Rob Cochran continues to serve the racing community during this time and moving into the future. The community is still in the process of settling into the new location. There are plans and work is starting to create new facilities to house not only the chaplaincy but also the other businesses that are vital to the operation of the track.
The plan is to convert a shipping container into the new home of the chaplaincy. This is not only a huge physical undertaking but will require additional funds for the renovations. Participation in the process is encouraged and welcomed.
We are in the process of updating the contact information for the chaplaincy. If you would like to donate to the chaplaincy you can do so via our Pay Pal link found on this site.
